1. My wife and I ate in the hotel a couple of times and the food was really good, if not a bit pricey for us Britts, there was a resort charge of $20 per day, but with free shuttle travel to and from Kona, free Wi-Fi etc, that was ok.

2. I probably wouldn't stay here again based on the location as its quite far from the main part of Kona and the free shuttle back only runs until about 8pm.

3. We had 3 senior citizens and a mini-van so it was great the old folks could take the free shuttle bus into town anytime they wanted so we didn't need two cars.

But the resort has a great pool, restaurants and is a 10 minute walk from the local cultural/shopping center which has a store, movie theater, cultural events, etc. The shuttle from the hotel is free for Sheraton guests but it runs about an hour or more apart and you may have to wait a long time for it, if its off schedule.
