1. literally across the street was the Space museum which was fabulous.

2. There are some restaurants across the mall area which is about 20 mins walk, and with the streets deserted it is better not to go there after dark.

5. Capital Hill is a short walk but to main restaurant areas such as 7th Street it's a good 25minute walk.

7. There is nothing to do at night around the hotel, the streets are quiet and empty, the CVS pharmacy shuts down early.

8. We had a double room that overlooked C street-great view of the Department of Education!:) It was a quiet room though, didn't hear any trains or traffic.

9. Only complaint was no bellman when I arrived Sunday night with four suitcases--teaching materials, laptop, etc. One person in my class was near the trains and complained; I was over C street on fifth floor; no noise complaint.
