1. Helpful concierge and tourist desk - recommended as a base although like many is a favourite with the convention and corporate crowd.

Also, we highly recommend using the hotel's concierge service with trip arrangements-- when they do it, all pickups are at the front door of the hotel and they are great at planning special trips for you!& yes, as other reviewers have stated, this is an older hotel but it was always completely clean and nice.

6. When we went down next morning a really helpful concierge booked us tours and that night after 10 hours on duty she even recommended an excellent place to eat for us, the DC Chophouse, excellent food and good prices.

7. The Concierge was a great help and I would recommend the Greyline Monument Tour as the bus picks you up and drops you at the door of the hotel, the buses were new, air conditioned and clean.
