1. Using the winter special gave us a great rate and reduced parking fees (we stayed between Christmas and New Year's).

9. After describing our whole ordeal to Nelsa (including the Metro ticket fiasco) we returned from dinner to a phone message saying she was going to take off the other 1/2 of our parking garage fee.

10. If you are on a tight budget, remember to include added fees (dc room tax 15%?parking fee $30 and even a dc parking tax $3.60 a day, so the taxes equaled over $50/day.
