they didn't exactly elaborate why which didnt help the situation)- tea/coffee is only downstairs in the AM, but i suppose you could request a coffeemaker (per signage)-
construction
was going on, BUT it didnt bother me, sound didnt seem too loud.

When I stayed there in May 2012, apparent
construction
at two spots on the same street, plus trucks passing on 46th Street, necessitated ear plugs.

(however, if you are not an early riser, beware, there is
construction
next door that starts pretty early during the week - they warned me when they offered the new room, however).

We really enjoyed our stay at The Muse, except for the
construction
noise next door.

2) I read a number of earlier TripAdvisor comments about
construction
noise during their stay at the Muse but I did not hear any daytime or nighttime noise on the 7th floor (which is one their lower floors).

construction
noise can be heard from time to time, but at least on the 14th floor where I was located, it can easily be canceled by setting the thermostat fan to the constant on position.

Frankly, typical NYC with lots of
construction
and repair going on around the city.

there is substantial
construction
going on in close proximity to the hotel although we were not bothered by it on the 18th floor.

We are torn about whether to stay there again until the

This last time, we asked to stay in a room the farthest from the
construction
- but that didn't help.
