1. Our room was rarely cleaned before 3 or 4 in the afternoon and you could tell they did a minimal job of cleaning.

2. I understand that rooms have to be clean but when you know some one is coming and it was confirmed I think they should have let me know that we couldn't check in until 4pm.

3. We stayed in the suite overlooking the ocean and the room was awesome; comfortable bed, full kitchen in the room, and a spectacular view.

4. Just returned from a week stay at the strand , excellent location and kitchen facilities in the hotel room superb,which can save you some money by having a couple of breakfasts etc in your room.

9. Had an amazing stay at the Strand, stayed in the retro building that was very secure and slept in room 405near the back , helped keep the noise down a bit, but i have been known to sleep thru a hurricane and a earthquake before so no real problems with noise.

10. The TV was super small but we didnt even turn it on the whole trip so didn't really care and as the other reviews stated the carpet was very dirty and the sofas had some stains on them, but I never walk on carpet with out house shoes so it didnt really bother me, I do understand they are updating their rooms, besides that the room was very clean and smelled good.
