1. The best thing about this place is the friendly staff, which did offered vouchers for a free breakfast after complaining about the fridge and iron.

3. Using the kitchen, we did our own breakfasts and found an excellent French Bakery by going down 11th street then left onto Washington Ave for a few yards.

4. The supervisor on duty at this point was a gentleman who was extremely rude he tried to compensate by giving us 50% for lunch we couldn't use these since we had a tour booked so they gave us each a $4.25 free breakfast.

5. Just returned from a week stay at the strand , excellent location and kitchen facilities in the hotel room superb,which can save you some money by having a couple of breakfasts etc in your room.

6. It had a fully furnished kitchen which we made breakfast and ate it on the balcony while the parade went by.

7. The room had a refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker, microwave, eating utensils, etc.: if you were trying to save money, you could easily prepare your breakfast and lunch in your room.

A couple of travel tips though, watch out for the 'cheap' breakfast deals from restaurants nearby, they announce $4.25 specials, only to then find out that coffees are $5, juice is over $5, and before you know it breakfast for two is not longer a great deal, but It must be said is still reasonable.
