1. I have only 3 complaints: no free in room Wi-Fi (you have to sit in the lobby or pay $9.95/ day), only 2 pillows for 2 adults on our big comfy king size bed, but we were given more when we asked and the food in the hotel is ridiculously overpriced (think $6 for one small box of cereal not including milk), but there are many great affordable and eclectic dinning options very close to the hotel.

2. It had a small bathroom but had a vanity outside of it, big walk in closet with safe, comfy queens size beds & pillows (we even had a balcony, which was unexpected).

The boys (as well as my husband and I) were very impressed with the elegance of the hotel, the pool, exercise room and the little amenities such as milk and cookies in room and plenty of linens, pillows, etc. It is a beautiful old hotel and the room was certainly clean and adequate though we noticed a couple of minor needed repairs (leaky tub faucet, wall trim end cap missing).

The hotel is absolutely outstanding in every respect:-easy to drive to-the valet parking guys were helpful and friendly-the porter was welcoming-gorgeous lobby-the room smelled clean, and it was spic and span-we ate our first meal at the hotel (the Marquee bar?), and the crab cakes were the best meal of our vacation-the bed and pillows were super comfy-the room was quiet-room service was super fast-the view from the room was great (looking south you can see the Washington Monument)-the buffet breakfast was the best we have ever had-driving: -about 10 minutes to the Kennedy Center-walking -four minutes to the greatest burritos east of CaliforniaWe got the 'Zoo' package which included parking and breakfast -great value.

7. The rooms were large and well equipped with really comfortable beds with brand new mattresses, down pillows, large LCD TV's, small fridge, marble bathroom etc. The service was friendly, although they did make an error with the bill which they immediately corrected.

9. All the negative reviews from previous reviews made us a wee bit wary but we never saw any bugs, our room was refurbished, very comfortable pillow top mattresses and pillows also comfortable.
