' For under $200/night (when we booked - it's now up $60) we were in a double queen room, received a breakfast buffet each morning, free valet parking, and our kids received a surprisingly nice gift box (cute stuffed panda, pen, sticker, postcards and some other stuff I can't remember) - check ontheir website, but I think each kid under 12 receives one.

The hotel is absolutely outstanding in every respect:-easy to drive to-the valet parking guys were helpful and friendly-the porter was welcoming-gorgeous lobby-the room smelled clean, and it was spic and span-we ate our first meal at the hotel (the Marquee bar?), and the crab cakes were the best meal of our vacation-the bed and pillows were super comfy-the room was quiet-room service was super fast-the view from the room was great (looking south you can see the Washington Monument)-the buffet breakfast was the best we have ever had-driving: -about 10 minutes to the Kennedy Center-walking -four minutes to the greatest burritos east of CaliforniaWe got the 'Zoo' package which included parking and breakfast -great value.

8. staff could not have been nicer and the 'zoo package' (we didn't go there) was fab - free valet parking, deluxe buffet breakfast in gorgeous dining room, bike ride on hotel 18 speed through rock creek park bike path, down to mall.
