4. Also note if everything in the room had to be thrown out due to bug infestation, how could our luggage, which had been in the room for a full 36 hours, not contaminate the new room we were given? By moving us to the new room, the hotel put themselves at risk for yet another room to be “infested” with bed bugs.

7. My husband and I were too disgusted to touch anything in the new room, and getting rest at that point was impossible, so we sat upright on a small ottoman and watched television until the manager’s arrival.

9. He showed us how to inspect a room for bugs, and proceeded on inspecting our new room, pulling back curtains and taking apart the bed.

10. We again took it upon ourselves to see what was going on, and returned to our new room where the maintenance manager was with an exterminator.
