2. It was clean and the hotel staff were quite friendly, but the surrounding streets were a little bit scary, we looked outside of our window and saw people using drugs and our tour driver told us not to leave the hotel at night as it was not safe.

3. The hotel itself is a little bit dated but everything works, the staff are very friendly and helpful, there is a coffee/hot chocolate machine in the foyer for $0.

4. The reason I would not stay at the Renoir again is location - it is on the edge of what most of my friends who live in San Francisco describe as the worst part of downtown.

8. Great building but rooms need a good general cleaning (walls, tile in bathroom, doors and carpets) We had a room on the 6th floor and could open the window wide and plunge to the sidewalk-definitely not kid friendly.
