1. If your looking for a good price hotel close to most attractions in San Francisco the Renoir Hotel is well placed and is on the main tram route to the water front .

2. The hotel is based just on the edge of the main touristy area so it is walking distance of Union Square, UN Plaza, China Town Japan Town, in fact you're a couple of miles walk from any of the main attractions even Height Ashbury and Alcatraz.

I absolutely would not recommend this hotel to young women travelling alone, anyone travelling with more than one child, or anyone for whom San Francisco is going to be the main attraction of their holiday - the Renoir Hotel, despite its art deco look and romantic French name, is completely unsuitable for `romantic getaway weekends` or any such thing.

8. when we went to the front desk the big tall spanish guy behind the counter carlo was very nice and helpful and checked us in right away and gave us info on sightseeing attractions, i wanted to go sightseeing.
