1. I can't understand how I can land in San Franscisco airport where the wifi is free, then drive to my 5* accommodation and have to pay for it.
"In almost all aspects a 5 star but.... " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/17/2012 Vote
2. The rooms are pretty minimalist, but I enjoyed perks like having a free bucket of popcorn delivered to my room upon rental of a movie as well as the Redwood Room bar and Asia de Cuba restaurant (now replaced by the Velvet Room).
"Nice design hotel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/21/2012 Vote
3. I think it is riduculous to have to pay for internet service (even Super 8's give free wifi).
"Great Property " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/12/2012 Vote
4. Wifi isn't free but there is a Starbucks across the road from the hotel.

"definitely funky place " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/27/2012 Vote
6. $10 for a street map from the mini bar? Come on, ok you offer a useless map for free at reception but almost every other hotel in the world offers a better map for free at reception.
"Chic, smart and still one of the nicest about " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/22/2012 Vote
7. We asked for a higher room and they upgraded us for free.
"Great hotel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/5/2012 Vote
8. Also, we were shocked to have to pay for the Internet, all the other hotels we stayed at offered Wi-Fi for free, even the smaller places, so the Clift approach makes them seem cheap, rather than boutique.
"Unfortunately missing too much to qualify for a boutique hotel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/3/2012 Vote
9. As far as the room furnishing, extras and equipment goes - Clift has redefined the meaning of 'minimalist' for me: we had to request the slippers (which were delivered immediately, though, and thankfully free of charge ;-))we did not have enough shampoo in the morning for the 2 of us (only one, I think previously already used, bottle of 30 ml supplied per room, which was not replaced by housekeeping when the room was cleaned the day after).

10. The receptionist told me that for the price I had reserved, the room was going to be quite noisy, so she upgraded me to a suite free of charge.
