1. My room (on a higher floor) was elegant, very clean and relatively quiet even though it faced the street.

3. This is true of other hotels in the group (the Hudson in NYC for example) but given that in San Francisco the W is not in the best location - this really does provide that casual elegance that greases the wheels.
