Some positives:- Good location - 5 minutes from Times Square and ideal for Broadway shows- Plenty of restaurants in the neigbourhood- Free continental breakfast (although limited to OJ, tea, coffee, bagels, muffins and fruit) but you can pay for other things- Compared with some hotels in NYC, the size of rooms are good- Free newspaper (NY Times)- Iron and ironing boardSome negatives:- The rooms are really dated.

Yes, the TV was old fashioned, the room lighting was a bit dark, the hot water sometimes needed running for a while before it got hot, and the toilet was one of those 1980s oddities that looks like a jet-ski - but for the price we paid, the free breakfast, the location and all the other positives I have just mentioned, these little quirks were just that, quirks, and did not detract from the stay at all.
