1. The staff was amenable and efficient, the food was decent, and the hotel rooms were very clean and comfortable.

4. The room was huge, clean and nicely decorated, the common parts were newly decorated and appeared to be fairly newly carpeted (at least on the floors I saw when the lift stopped), staff were friendly and efficient, and service was first rate.

7. The staff are friendly - the check-in was cheerful and efficient but I really liked the bar-keep, who kept the drinks flowing without being a pest and who ordered dinner without a fuss.
