1. The staff was friendly except for the miserable waiters in the morning (tips are appreciated I understand that but a smile would also be appreciated before I tip you).

5. However, the porters/bell boys were exceptional as they couldn't do enough to help you, whether it be helping to plan your day, opening a door or even hailing you a taxi.

8. Elevator can take a little while, but again, welcome to NYC high-rise buildings - EVERY hotel no matter what star-rating (except perhaps the Marquis) has this challenge.

9. There was no shower curtain in the bathroom (just a half glass partition) which would have been okay except the water sprayed directly on the bathroom door when showering which over time had apparently created unattractive warping around the edges.

The obnoxious Waiter in the breakfast room who seemed to have an issue with guests taking a coffee and some fruit up to the room - even though reception says this is OKSafe in room - Not working and maintenance couldn't fixLifts can take a long time during peak hoursOverall enjoyed the stay and found no real issues, staff with the exception of the one breakfast Waiter were all really friendly and helpful.
