1. Slept with the door open and listened to the waves crashing - perfect white noise:)The bar is also a great place to watch the world go by, lovely ocean views, and some wonderful Hawaiian entertainment and cocktails.

2. If you require a large, dramatic hotel with room service, large pools & lots of night life there are several wonderful hotels along the Kohala coast north of the Airport.

3. Great staff, wonderful grounds (10 acres), located next to nice snorkeling in Kahalu'u Bay (for more serious snorkeling go the Place Of Refuge and snorkel 'two step').
