1. There is a bar overlooking the ocean with Hawaiian music some evenings, nice gardens, ocean views, hammocks, archaeological sites and, best of all, rock pools where sea turtles swim.

9. 1 day to the northern end of the island stopping in at several beaches/parks along the way; another day the northern circle tour around the island to Hilo via the Saddle Road stopping at several viewpoints, waterfalls etc; another day the southern route to National Volcanic Park etc; and other days snorkelling at 4 different locations - 'City of Refuge' the best.
