1. One of the reasons we were hesitant to stay in Keauhou rather than in Kailua was the lack of plentiful drinking/dining options.

It has the free breakfast buffet which has enough choice that we were not sick of it after 7 days (the longest wait we had, even on the weekend with a full hotel due to a wedding was 10 min); the snorkelling beach is a 3 min walk away, has beautiful clear water, plenty of tropical fish and even watched 2 turtles for about 30 min.

7. And we always had plenty of seating by taking our food to the verandah lounge, they just ask that you take your dishes to the bus bin since it's technically not part of the breakfast dining area.
