The customer service representative I was transferred to not only did not answer the phone with his name, refused to address my concerns, or transfer me to a national representative, but also, in response to my informing him that I had been having terrible customer service in all my transactions with the hotel, said: 'Screw you man' and hung-up on me.

3. The manager repeatedly said that it is not their responsibility and by giving my trousers for them to wash I had agreed that something may happen to them (some small print somewhere).

4. The security guy's response? 'Do what you have to do, just don't do it on my shift,' then he proceeds to tell him when his shift ends.

5. I have communicated with customer care of Best Western who are normally very prompt and responsive to address this issue.

6. A package that was sent to me from Maryland was kept at the front desk and repeated enquires about the arrival of the package from one of the Best Western Hotels in Maryland where I had stayed earlier was met with a standard response that no mail was received on my name.

My girlfriend would ask, for example: 'we want to go to the SOHO area, and go shopping, but we aren't too sure where are the most popular streets, could you show us on a map please?'Her response was: 'i don't like shopping, so im the wrong person to ask'If, and i mean IF she gave us an answer she was looking for, it was always a direct answer to what we wanted to do, or where we wanted to go, eg: 'we want to have dinner in the meatpacking district, what are some medium priced restaurants you could reccomend'She would then respond by showing us ONE, maybe TWO at the very most, but not go that step further to, in my oppinion, be a proper concierge.
