1. perfect layout, ground level we could walk right out to the pools, see the beach, ocean, it was incredible.

2. However, this is the Big Island afterall, and if you go about 5 minutes down the road, it will go from 78 and perfect to 50's and rainy.

3. ) There is a reason that these resorts were built in the absolute middle of no-where in Waikoloa, because the weather is PERFECT.

4. On the plus side for the hotel, the entire grounds are perfectly groomed, the lobby/slash meeting area is very nice and well done with marble (tons of it), as well as it has a perfect blend of indoor/outdoor, which means you get some really pretty birds flying through quite often.

5. There is good snorkeling though, and we saw sea turtles, both at the hotel beach and when snorkeling at a beach up the road (informally called 69, Snorkel Bob's recommended it and it was perfect for beginners).
