1. The location was great- with the bay and we walked for miles across the lava to some secluded little areas to fish.

2. Like everything else in Hawaii, the food is expensive, but they have great deals on Mondays and Thursdays (50% off entrees) and on Fridays (prime rib and crab buffet).

3. Our room (6119) was a bit on the small side, but even though it was considered 'pool view', we had a great view of the ocean from our balcony so we could just relax with a drink and soak in the sunsets.

5. If you want to eat off property, there are 3 great restaurants across the street (our favorite is Roy's).

6. If you want to go shopping, there is a mini-Macy's, Tiffany, Tommy Bahama, and many other great shops and galleries, also right across the street.
