4. Renovated rooms are nice, and while we're glad to see the end of the dirty wicker furniture & big gray square Trinitrons, I'm not quite sure the upgrade merits a doubling of the room rates.

10. I love the big Island and the weather and beaches are outstanding but I can say that Kauna'Oa Beach (the beach the Mauna Kea faces) is no nicer than many others and this resort is the worst and most poorly priced of any I have stayed at - ever.
