2. While the hotel is good and we got decent spacious rooms, i somehow felt the woodley park area where the hotel is located is quite dead compared to say a dupont circle.

4. It is nice to get out of the main corridor (K-Street) for a change and venture to the Northwest on Connecticut Avenue for some nice surroundings (Rock Creek) and some pretty good and reasonably priced restaurants nearby.

7. Unlike the sleeper, modern hotels elsewhere, this one is in a neighborhood with good restaurants within a short walk and two blocks from the METRO.

8. The rooms were luxurious and immaculate, with great quality sheets, towels, furnishings, etc and good soundproofing from the city outside - the room I was allocated had a balcony, so that was an unexpected bonus.
