4. Fans of the Food Network's 'Diners, Srive-ins and Dives' will be happy to note that several eateries featured on the show are within easy walking distance of the Contessa - you've done something wrong if you come home from a weekend in San Antonio having lost weight.

8. When I called the spa for an appt, the receptionist answered the phone 'Hello?' I couldn't tell if I had dialed the wrong number.

9. It is interesting how one expects flat screen televisions now and if they are not there, one wonders what is going wrong with the hotel? The room nevertheless was comfortable with a seperate seating area / parlor (all the rooms are suites I think).

10. They also got our room assignment wrong so we were put in a room directly over the entrance, on the third floor, so the street noise was very annoying - but, being Thanksgiving there were no other room available at our rate.
