1. I took the advice of another trip adviser guest and paid in cash upon check-in (to avoid problems with debit card issues).

2. The hotel provided valet parking for a reasonable fee, but with 3 parking lots within 1 block from the hotel, I'd recommend self-parking to avoid the long waits for car pickup.

3. Lots of room for families in these rooms, but if you're a light sleeper avoid the city side rooms.

7. avoid lower floors heading west, since the bus stop and the traffic will give you a hard time.

8. The location was close to everything but far enough away to avoid the craziness of the Alamo Bowl revelers.

9. As the hotel is next to the wedding island, I would avoid this place on Saturdays, when the place gets taken over by the inevitable wedding, and you won`t be able to sit on the terrace overlooking the riverwalk.

10. We took one of the previous reviewers advice and stayed on an upper floor (10) since we had a city view and away from the atrium to avoid the noise that comes up from the lounge area.
