1. Marble foyers and halls? Solid wood carved walls with expensive framed artwork? You do not see this anywhere except 100 year old hotels.

6. A very good internet deal (directly with the hotel) in 2010 hooked us on the Grand America, and we have now stayed there twice, even though it was quite a lot more expensive this year than last.
