1. I didn't feel really menaced in the streets although I was at a party fairly late at night, but there is a high crime rate in Philly and enough violent crime to make one avoid deserted areas at night and to watch which neighborhoods you venture into.

2. we walked 9 floors 3 times over the 2 days just to avoid the 8-11 minute wait for an elevator, which, btw, was also being used by hotel staff for housekeeping so we snuggled up with the laundry trolley and old sheets twice.

3. If you have never stayed at Club Quarters, always avoid the cheapest room as it is very small.
