1. just warm to boiling (hot enough to burn you), dated carpeting that looked like it was from the original 1800's home, paint was peeling and cracked tiles, cables coming out of the wall without plate covers (but placing a chair in front of it solved the visual problem), our room was directly across from some kind of factory so semi trucks were right outside 24/7 but keeping the A/C on canceled the noise and travel close-pins kept the drapes (that don't close completely) closed to provide privacy, we had only one tiny wastebasket (and were unable to get at least one more when requested) for such a large space so we kept multiple plastic bags around for our trash, saw a rat one night in the courtyard but the grounds are open in a major city so I guess that'd be hard to fix.

3. This hotel could be charming if it was staffed by a team of friendly, customer service oriented people, mistakes and problems could be overlooked by guests if at least given an apology.

5. To be honest, this is a common problem in New Orleans, so again no biggie for us, but if you have serious allergies, best beware.

6. problem is, this close to town, it is almost always packed with other riders by the time it makes it in this far (Erato St by the overpass).

7. Given the rich foods we were eating, and the fact that we are healthy and good walkers to begin with, this was not a huge issue, but I think it really could present a problem to older or more sedentary visitors.

8. The Jacuzzi was always on, and the area in itself was quiet too so it was a nice extra to our stay; we even took some of our own drinks and snacks down to the poolside tables in the evening and sat there drinking before we went out, which didnt seem to be a problem.

9. My problem with the bathroom this time was that the shower head was weak and too low for my 6'1, and that's about it.

10. The smell was bad - I had problems with my allergies being in the room just a few minutes.
