1. just warm to boiling (hot enough to burn you), dated carpeting that looked like it was from the original 1800's home, paint was peeling and cracked tiles, cables coming out of the wall without plate covers (but placing a chair in front of it solved the visual problem), our room was directly across from some kind of factory so semi trucks were right outside 24/7 but keeping the A/C on canceled the noise and travel close-pins kept the drapes (that don't close completely) closed to provide privacy, we had only one tiny wastebasket (and were unable to get at least one more when requested) for such a large space so we kept multiple plastic bags around for our trash, saw a rat one night in the courtyard but the grounds are open in a major city so I guess that'd be hard to fix.

2. The good: a very large suite that seemed to be created in an 1800s home (a huge bedroom, living room, 2 baths and a wet bar with micro and small refrigerator, 2 huge closets and 2 good sized dressers), a gorgeous courtyard where we unwound every night for a couple of hours after spending the day in the FQ, extremely comfy beds, the staff was pleasant and helpful, the lobby and grounds were charming, out of the FQ but close enough to walk if you don't want to ride the St Charles streetcar which stops across the street, a couple blocks from the WWII museum, breakfast had a decent amount of variety including fruit,do it yourself waffles (you could use 1-2 more waffle makers), pre cooked cheese omlettes, hostess mini donuts, hard boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt.

3. It is pouring rain, very little lighting and it's hard to find where the buildings are.

4. The street car is easy to catch although for someone new to the concept it was hard to figure out the timing.

5. There was the usual toast, cereal, baked goods, coffee but there was also omelette style and hard boiled eggs, breakfast sausages, juices, yogurt and fruit.

6. We booked this place because the weekend that we went to New Orleans it was hard to find a reasonably priced room.

10. The AC did work fairly well though, would be hard not to be able to cool such a small room.
