1. People smoke throughout the grounds, which are fairly noisy, and one night we even had to open the door to protest prolonged pounding next door where another guest had bolted the door on his roomie (I know this was not the Hotel's fault, but where was Security?).

5. The area is very noisy (mostly cars with the bass cranked), it is rich with homeless panhandler types asking for change, trash was everywhere and while I never really felt afraid I did feel unwelcome.

6. Front desk staff wasn't overly helpful; we had to haggle for fifteen minutes to get decent rooms after they initially wanted to dump us in dirty ones right next to the extremely noisy pool.
