Friday morning we were at the pool by 11am to claim our chairs -
unfortunate
ly after 2 times around we were unable to find 2 open chairs together.

If you have no interest in using a pool while you are here then it is perfect,
unfortunate
ly we did and found the good 15min walk through the casino to get to the pool quite off putting.

I was hoping that the Excalibur would be the only 'playground' hotel in the MGM family, but

ly, the confirmation provided through M life doesn't list the rates per night and every time we tried to go to the VIP desk to get it resolved, there wasn't anyone working there.
