1. unfortunately the front-desk person did not combine the two reservations (even though he pointed out that we had two reservations) and so we were locked out midday after night #1.

2. I was unable to book a room for this year's event because of the steep cost of the rooms unfortunately so I am staying down the street at a much more reasonable nightly rate though my preference would be the JW Marriott.

3. However the 4 of us are in a small room, (# 1401, nice side angle view of Wash monument), with one King bed and a rollaway (I unfortunately overlooked the part on the reservation that said 'two beds requested/not guaranteed').

5. My husband is a Platnium Marriott Awards member and we did not get all of the amenities promised with the program and was explained it was unfortunate we were staying on a weekend vs.

10. Yes, the 'touch-it-and-you-buy-it' concessions are annoying, as are the other little extra charges, but unfortunately that's par for the course with most hotel chains in most major cities.
