3. The streets around this hotel are unsafe during the day, at night I wouldn't have wanted to walk even 1/2 block.

4. It is on a street with a couple of adult theaters and there are a lot of homeless people who hang around outside, but my friend and I never felt unsafe walking to and from it and within 3 minutes you hit the 'nicer' part of town so the poor surrounds of the Renoir are a distant memory.
