1. We didn't have any problem to have two rooms but the confirmation was on a one room basis.

4. If I were by myself I would just walk quickly through the groups of homeless people and drug addicts knowing that if a problem arose, I could leg it, but being with my 50 year old mother and father I had to forever watch our backs during the journey between the hotel and the safe tourist populated parts.

5. Asked other patrons at the hotel if they had the same problem and it appeared that it was hotel wide and noone could sleep.

6. The homeless problem in San Francisco is well known and their hotel just happens to be right in the middle of the worst part of it.

7. They did in fact have a bed bug problem at that time which is why we no longer visit that hotel.

8. Only problem is the neighborhood at night is a bit sketchy, so you don't really want to hang out there, but I did not have any problems.

10. Just go a few blocks away towards Union Square and the homeless/drug dealing/hooker problems aren't quite as bad.
