1. Breakfast was either in Starbucks,ugh must be avoided, better to go to the hotel restaurant mega slow or Sam's over the road which was reccomended.

3. avoid walking to and from the hotel, there's an F-car (streetcar thing) that stops directly outside and will take you downtown, or right into Fisherman's wharf.

4. To be fair this was consistently about 3/4 blocks away from the hotel but it is part of the route you cannot avoid if on foot.

5. I would describe the walk from the Hotel to Union square as like running the gauntlet, you're going to run into a few people you'd rather avoid.

The hotel is kinda old but clean, friendly service there is Starbucks in the lobby that's a big plus, if you don't drive wich I recommend the Bart station very close just right out side the door, there is a tramp that will take you to fisherman warf, troley stop also not too far, location is pretty good but kinda scary at night so avoid walking around at night time in the area, if you drive I recommended to park in their parking lot it will cost you $ 28/night but the street parking is not safe, I park my car on the street my first night I was there, the next day I saw two car got their window busted, house keeping is pretty good they keep giving me 2 set of towels even tough I told them there is 3 people staying.

8. The district in which the hotel is situated is slightly shabby and there are many homeless people in the vicinity, however we never felt uneasy, although we were warned to avoid walking certain streets at night.

9. When we arrived at Hotel Whitcomb, it was confusing where to park, as they have a lot around the block at the back side; ask ahead of time so you know where to park and avoid the hassles of curb parking.
