My wife and I spent two days at this hotel in mid April and had no complaints; the staff was very courteous and helpful and the room was clean; the room we had was small compared to other motels we have stayed at but we knew that ahead of time because it is an older building; actually, it was enjoyable to learn the history of this hotel and we were impressed with the recent remodeling; the front doorman was very helpful, especially when he allowed us some extra time to get our luggage out of the car before the valet driver took it; the valet parking offer was very helpful because we did not want to shuttle or use publc transit to get there and it was only $35 per day - a pretty good deal for Manhatten.
