The front desk clerk said we really lucked out because those rooms are

They have a rain shower in the bathroom which was a little difficult if you aren't used to it, also had no ledge so
hard
to shave your legs.

The lobby, guest rooms, and bar area are cozy and a welcome sight after a
hard
day of walking the Miracle Mile, the long beaches, to Navy Pier or to a nearby dinner/night spot.

We got a great rate on the room - it was the weekend of the Chicago marathon, so it was
hard
to find a room at a reasonable rate, and the Knickerbocker was the best rate I could find.

Water leaked out of the shower and spilled across the floor, but I'm thinking that may have just been our shower - maybe a piece was missing between the wall and shower? The concierge was
hard
ly there when we needed them, but that can just be our timing.

The lobby can get a bit crowded at times, but the location is
hard
to beat, and the price is right compare to most Magnificent Mile hotels.
