After checking in we noticed some
construction
noise - called the front desk and they explained that the fitness center was being renovated and the workers would be stopping by 4:00pm.

Add to all of this that they did
construction
all day and the music from the wedding receptions downstairs blared long into the night (even though we were on the fourth floor).

Sure they upgraded us, it was to offset putting us directly under
construction
and in a room that had no heat and lousy plumbing.

The
construction
noise alone made it unworthy but even a Days Inn would give me a warm room with decent plumbing and hopefully no hair everywhere.

The
construction
noise was still horrible during the daytime, reminded us of the Travelocity commercial where they are unable to speak over the noise it was that bad and we were paying nearly $200.

The
construction
noise was unbearable as it was on the floor and rooms just above us (at this time floors 7 and up, we were on 6).
