1. At night with the window open (and all the street noise coming in) the room would get down to 72 maybe.

2. Our only slight problem was the noise from the fridge which did keep us awake (although jet lag probably didn't help either) but we got used to it after the first night.

3. The windows open if only a tiny bit- that is a little perk that I always look for because it is nice to hear the street noise and get some fresh air.

4. Quiet except for occasional noise from other guests (didn't seem to come through the walls, but we couldn't figure out where - maybe the heat system? Not partying, just voices, not a big deal.

Although close to the El, there was no noise; the hotel is very well situated for the aquarium and several museums; the park opposite has a feature fountain which is a sight to behold after dark when it lights up and dances to amplified music on the hour; the open-top bus stops right outside the hotel too.

9. Great location just out of the busyness but close enough to walk to everything (I met someone who was staying right in centre and said the noise was unbearable).

10. Slightly noisy being near the elevator, but the view of the park across Michigan Ave was so pretty at night I won't remember that noise for much longer.
