1. NYC really is 24 hours :)Only 1 small downside now that I think of it - the walls are very thin and there was a Party in one of the rooms in our hall until the wee hours oft he morning.

5. There was also a Police Station across the roadThe downside of my stay was that when you wanted a hot drink you had to get dressed and go to the Deli next door, and they closed at 5pm.

7. Only real downside is a dated shower system, it doesn't keep its temperature, so be sure you can escape boiling hot water whenever you need to.

9. downsides on the location - cars exiting the police station across the street sometimes had sirens going (not constant but the intermittent start up kind) and perhaps the ugliest view of an old building and construction site you could imagine.

10. The only downsides I can think of are these:- 42nd street is fairly boring (parking garage, police station, post office, supermarket, bank, bus terminal) for two blocks toward Times Square; it`s not a NYC street with lots of cafes and boutiques on your doorstep.
