1. Ok the room was slightly cramped but its New York, the only need for the room is to sleep, everything else is literally at your door step.

2. Yes, Hotel 31 is small, the rooms are cramped (I stayed in a single and it was very tight), and the bathrooms are shared, but the friendliness of the staff and just the overall cleaniless of the hotel makes up for all of it.

8. The room was clean and not too cramped, the staff was courteous, and the location was great - just a block from one of the main streets of Murray Hill (and the vegetarian Indian restaurants of Curry Hill), and a block or two from the subway.
