As people have pointed out, the rooms are
tiny
, with little more room than the beds and wash-stand, but the lack of room wasn't really an issue.

Yes, the room was
tiny
, I did not have a sink and it got hot at times (I turned on the AC for a while), but for a secure place to stay it fit the bill.

I would though call the hotel directly before booking to request a room with a sink (worth paying a
tiny
bit more to maybe have that one perk :)).

This was my first trip to NYC and though, admittedly, I was a
tiny
bit nervous about staying in the city alone and about an unwanted encounter with bed bugs, I felt safe in this neighbourhood and it gave me a flavour of what living in this city - bed bug free.

True, the wallpaper looks tired, the radiator knocks and pings a bit, the one elevator is
tiny
and slow, the lobby at bit dark, the rooms smallish - but this bothered us not one bit.

Many of the rooms are very dark and dingy and the windows look DIRECTLY into a brick wall and a
tiny
air shaft.
"Creepy "
