It reminded us of good B & B/small hotel lodgings we sometimes get in London; not fancy, but nice comfortable safe havens in a large
pricey
city.

About a 7 minute walk from Union Square 14th street station, which is great, close to 3rd avenue and they recommended a place nearby for breakfast, I think it was called Stardust cafe or something? They had good breakfast, a little
pricey
though.
