1. My acquaintances stayed at the Sheraton at Times Square, and they complained that they didn't really get the NYC experience because they were constantly surrounded by fast food restaurants and chain stores.

4. Also a note on bedbugs- I notice there are some older reviews on this site complaining of bedbugs- a problem that was epidemic in NYC hotels.

5. I am a very heavy sleeper, I have never thought that I will be complaining about noise in any place ( I slept 15 hours on the way to NY from sydney in the plane- NOthing wakes me up) but apparently hotel staff vacuuming the hallways 6:15 am on a Sunday would wake me up.

7. Because the room didn't reek of smoke and was otherwise clean (I also had a stuffy nose from a recent cold so couldn't smell whatever smoke might have been there) I didn't complain or ask to be moved.
