1. Was really convenient for Broadway, Central Park, Fifth Avenue, The rock, St Patricks Cathedral all within a few blocks walk.

5. By the time I rocked up the hotel hostess, Wendy, had already installed my mum in the hotel bar (with awesome views of Times Square) and was keeping her company while she waited for me.

We visited Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, the Top of the rock (gives wonderful views of the Empire State Building), took in a Mets baseball game, walked and (husband) ran in Central Park, toured Grand Central Station, had lunch in Bryant Park, walked onto Brooklyn Bridge, visited Ground Zero and used the subway quite a lot as we also did some shopping.

10. We were able to easily walk to rockefeller Center to see the Top of the rock, NBC Studios, and my wife and daughter attended a taping of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
