1. The furnishings in the rooms were nice, but the rooms themselves were old and run down (putty in the bathroom, stained grout, painted over door moldings and peeling wall paper).

2. My rooms have been fairly large large by NYC standards and clean, although some of the upholstered furniture (and sometimes the curtains) have been stained and in need of professional cleaning or replacement.

3. The room was wonderful, although it didn't seem as clean or updated as the room we had the last summer (bed skirt was stained, and the room seemed a little older), but since they were replacing the toilets while we were there, we figured our first room had been re-done and this one was a work in progress.

4. The bathroom lacks a ventilation fan, so all of the condensation from the shower will form on the ceiling (which is evident from looking at the stains and spots on the ceiling).

6. and the hotel seems to have been built directly on top of the subway which vibrated in the rooms (even though i was on the 6th floor)-and yes the sirens and horn blowing in cars were constant but then thats what i went for-to enjoy the real new york and oh boy i did,i probably wouldn`t stay at the hotel again the carpets were stained and peeling wall paper and could do with an overhaul.
