Rooms can be
noisy
regardless of what floor you're on and we've been on several but this is New York and those canyons just amplify any noise; nonetheless better windows would help.

I asked for a quieter room on a higher floor but I'm not sure this is possible in NYC so some nights were very quiet and some quite
noisy
.

NY is a very
noisy
and busy city, but the hotel is situated in a quiet spot (although I recommend you bring earplugs to drown out the
noisy
klaxons which you can't escape.
