1. The hotel itself has the quirky Casablanca theme and is fantastically quiet despite being just a stones throw from the madness that is Times Square.

3. The 24 hour madness that is Times Sq is steps away from the hotel, so it's easy to pick up tour buses, theatre tickets and excellent deli food from Roxy's.

6. If you are going to Liberty and Ellis island get there early, we got there at 0900 and queued for 2 1/2 hours, the security is worse than any airport i've been in and is repeated to get into the Statue of Liberty (mad).

10. The only downfall is the view was an inner courtyard of airconditioning units but, it was a small price to pay for a bit of respite from the madness of the city.
